Harpa is a concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavík. It opened in 2011 and has since then been a popular destination to attend concerts, operas and conferences, or to enjoy a good meal in one of their two restaurants.

The building is very unique and is in itself an attraction – it  overlooks the harbour that has a breathtaking view over the ocean and mountains surrounding Reykjavík.

This is a perfect destination for those who appreciate architecture and music. The building features a distinctive coloured glass facade inspired by the basalt landscape of Iceland. At night, the beautiful glass exterior is lit up with colourful lights, brightening the city centre.

One of our most memorable experience here was when we attended an opera in the Eldborg Concert Hall. The acoustics and experience in itself are not to be missed.

We would highly recommend attending a concert or a show in Harpa, but just taking a stroll or eating in one of the restaurants can also be a very pleasant experience, giving you all you need to take in the architecture and design.
