The Australian bush is unlike any other in the world – and for me, that’s a real drawcard. It might not have the lush forest greens that some countries can offer, but there’s a plethora of flora and fauna to take in.

I love the range of hiking trails we have, though my favourite is definitely Serpentine Falls, which boasts one of the best views, and often you’ll see cotton candy skies as the sun sets.

Learn from my mistake: proper footwear is a must and insect repellent will be your best friend!

There’s so much to see on the walking trails of Perth.

The trees that wave at you along the way are hundreds of years old – they stretch all the way up into the sky.

Dress appropriately and bring water with you (and snacks if you’re anything like me).

Take lots of photos along the way – you’ll see some pretty beautiful scenery as you go!
