Joy Hing is an authentic Hong Kong restaurant serving up Cantonese-style rotisserie meats called siu mei. Take a seat inside if there is one (expect to queue). The interior is bare and tired with a nostalgic charm, but don’t be fooled because the emphasis is on the food.

Be prepared to share a table with a stranger, and that person may be me as I often eat here twice a week.

Three Treasures Rice: Order this if you are unsure of what to order or simply want to try a few items. Here, it is served with char siu (a type of barbecued pork), roasted duck and soya sauce chicken.
P.S.: They also serve roasted goose here too.

Grab a seat, shout your order, and your plate of barbecued meats will have arrived even before you put your bags down.

Authentic roasted meats – probably one of the cheapest Michelin star meals you will experience.
