Phuket is known as ‘the Pearl of the Andaman” and is Thailand’s largest island. Yet, around Phuket, there are still many more gorgeous islands to explore, some of which are private or virgin islands.
But instead of taking mass transportation to each island, where you have to follow their timetables and be dragged along with tourists in a huge group, it is worth spending your money to rent a private speedboat or a yacht.
Beautiful islands nearby include Koh Rang. When you go there, you can enjoy the sunset without having to worry that you have to leave the island at the same time as everyone else.
Koh Maiton and Koh Racha are also recommended as the sand is sparkling white there and the seawater is crystal clear. While on the island, there are several activities you can do, e.g. kayaking, snorkelling, sunbathing, or even jet-skiing in some areas. Alternatively, chilling on the beach with a book in hand could also make you happy all day already.
Yachts are recommended for bigger groups, preferably 8 or more people, as it would be more cost-effective. You can rent a yacht for half a day or a few days, and spend some nights on it while exploring the Andaman.
Tips: PMG Asia has a variety of speedboats to choose from with great offers, while Blue Voyage is a famous yachting company that operates in Phuket, Samui, and Pattaya.
