Omoide Yokocho is an alley filled with many old Japanese bars (izakaya). I come here often because it is a great place for street photography. There is an eclectic mix of people here, each with their own story to be told.

Sometimes after shooting, I’ll get a drink from one of the many bars that line the alley. I’d also recommend eating here, as the food is delicious.

This alley is popular for the locals. You can see all walks of life in this alley - businessmen after work, the elderly and the young! There is no particular bar that I like the most, as every bar here is special in its own unique way.
I definitely recommend eating Yakitori (Japanese-style grilled skewered chicken) here and sharing some drinks with friends as the atmosphere after the sun goes down is particularly special.

The atmosphere on a rainy day is magical!

My favourite yakitori items are かわ (kawa, or chicken skin) and もも (momo, the basic chicken).
