Asakusa is a very traditional district of Tokyo.

Start from KAMINARI-MON (the gate), walk through the Arcade, and you can find Senso-ji temple. You can feel the true spirit of Japan just by walking here.

My personal favourite place to go here is from the building located at the opposite side of KAMINARI-MON. This building has a free observatory tower with an amazing view over the city.

From the Observatory Tower. I love this view so much!

Sumo wrestlers can be seen here sometimes!

Taking a stroll on these streets is so relaxing. The narrow alley has so many shops – explore them all to find your favourite! My favourite food around here is tai-yaki (fish-shaped pancake filled with cream).

Jinrikisha – a human-powered car! Drivers can show you around Asakusa telling you the stories and history of each destination – it’s a perfect way to learn more about this amazing city from a local’s perspective.

This temple has a long history with its origins dating back about 1400 years.
This temple has been loved by Japanese people for hundreds of years, so why not walk around and feel the history inside these temple walls – it’s truly spellbinding.
