Margot House is a secret treasure in the heart of Barcelona, with a privileged location just in front of Casa Batlló in Passeig de Gràcia. Don’t be surprised if you haven’t heard of it or can't see a nameplate with the hotel name at the street entrance; it is placed discreetly to keep the exclusivity of the place.

The concept of this boutique hotel is to make you feel at home, and I really felt like this from the moment I stepped in.

The interior design is minimalistic and unpretentious, but luxurious. Margot House has only nine suites, four of them with views of Casa Batlló, and is truly a peaceful oasis along the main street of Barcelona.

There are two common areas: a big and bright living room with a well-stocked library, and a kitchen where you can get drinks from the fridge anytime (at a cost). They also offer complimentary tea and coffee all day long. Delightful breakfasts created by Chef Jaime Santianes, made with fresh local produce, are included every morning.

They also have Brompton bicycles for rent, which are so practical for discovering the city on two wheels.

This bathroom looks like the kind you find in a Greek temple, where you could have a bath while your partner lies on the bed close by watching you, eating grapes.

Enjoy a relaxing night with your partner in the bathtub that’s right in your room!

The living room/library is so bright and makes you feel right at home.

The kitchen is beautifully furnished in wood – a style that matches best with the fresh produce they use.
