Perth’s local bar scene will leave you buzzed in more ways than one

There’s no pretending that Australians don’t like to drink. It’s part of our social nature; part of how we catch up with friends and enjoy nights out even if it’s only over one or two drinks. 

From craft beers and local wines to creative cocktails, there’s something for everyone and lots of venues to check out. My favourites – the Standard in Northbridge, Halford in Perth and Sweetwater in Fremantle. The mixologists and bartenders here are all doing some pretty funky stuff, and I think that adds to the fun of the evening.

And if you find yourself in Northbridge for drinks, track down Sneaky Tony’s. It’s hidden down a laneway and you need to get a secret password from their Facebook or Instagram account in order to gain entry. Trust me, it’s worth the effort!

Aperol cocktails are so in fashion at the moment – we’re calling it the taste of Perth’s summer! 

 

Lazy evenings in the courtyard or on rooftops of Perth’s bars mean you get to relax under the twinkling stars.
