Museum Island is one of the prettiest islands of Berlin because of its great Prussian architecture. It is right in the centre of Berlin, so you definitely won’t miss it.
Museum island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is home to 5 museums and the Berlin Cathedral. My favourite museums are the Pergamon Museum and the Alte Nationalgalerie, which hosts works of Monet, Renoir, Schinkel, etc. Great classics!
The main square is also a nice, relaxing spot for picnics in spring and summer. Don’t miss the flea market on weekends – I love to look for antiques there!
A beautiful view of the Berlin Cathedral
Boats on the Spree River on Museum island
The Bode-Museum – it's home to the Sculpture Collection and Museum of Byzantine Art.
The Lustgarden in front of the “Altes museum” is a perfect chill area
