See a completely different side to Malaysia in Putrajaya

Take a ride out of the heart of KL to Putrajaya, a planned city and also the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. It used to be known as Prang Besar, and was founded in 1918 as Air Hitam by the British.

There are many interesting places to discover here, like the Putra Mosque, Agricultural Heritage Park, Marina Putrajaya and more. You can either get here by KLIA Transit at KL Sentral, or rent a car – which is a better idea as you’ll be able to drive around without having to walk under the hot sun.

Putrajaya is also home to the annual My Balloon Fiesta, where you can have a hot-air balloon experience, amongst other activities.

What I really love about this place is that the buildings are very unique and different from what you’ll see in the city centre.
