Musik Point is a little hidden gem out in the Eastern suburbs of Auckland. It is a quaint little spot perched high up on some of the best Pohutukawa Cliffs in Auckland, and boasts some beautiful views out over the Waitemata Harbour and some of the Islands in it.

To get there, you have to head through a golf course and park up the end. Then wander down to the old Radio Station building that is no longer in use, but is a very cool looking art deco building. There are lots of grass areas to sit on and picnic or kick a ball.

You can also take the short bush walk to see the cliff views and from here, you will find a steep path taking you down to the rocks below if you're brave enough. Once you are done here, you can visit either of the two Eastern Beaches that are on either side of the peninsular – Bucklands Beach or Eastern Beach.

Both are lovely spots in summer for a swim and usually if it’s windy at one, then the other one is sheltered. If you have a car on your trip, a drive out here is worth it. It can be a little tricky from the city with public transport.
