I have always been fascinated by ancestral designs in places such as San Agustin Church’s – the interior, especially the ceiling, is really a sight to behold!

This baroque church, which also happens to be one of the Philippines’ UNESCO World Heritage Sites, bore witness to several wars and catastrophes.

Recognised as the oldest church in the Philippines, San Agustin Church has a reputation for being the Wedding Capital of the Philippines. After all, who wouldn’t want to be a part of a 430-year-old legacy. Isn’t it a romantic idea?

San Agustin Church also houses a museum that will transport you back to a time when even your great-grandfathers and mothers weren’t born yet.

A wedding is usually conducted here when there are no masses scheduled.

The left belfry was destroyed by a major earthquake way back in the 1800s.

The detailed carvings on the double wooden doors make it a mandatory stop for IG shots.

Pay attention to the intricate design of the carvings on the doors.

Here comes the bride!
