Journey to the West Lake in the heart of the city

Measuring 17km long, this is the biggest freshwater lake in Hanoi. Located right in the heart of the city, it makes for a perfect biking session in the early hours of the morning or to catch the beautiful sunset in late afternoon.

If you’re game for more, join the kite flyers for some wholesome family fun, or take a kayak out into the lake if you’re a fan of water sports. There’s something for every preference.

Being a more laidback person, I sometimes enjoy a beer here on the pretext of taking in the view! Bliss!

 

The sunset is always a great idea (as you would have noticed in my preference!) I come here with my husband all the time for some good views. I never get tired of it!

When travelling down the West Lake loop, you’ll see people from all walks of life enjoying activities here on land, sea and in the air – locals and expats alike. The people constantly engaged in activities on West Lake almost feels like a community in itself – come join the fun!
