My favourite place to get mee rebus is this unassuming stall at the popular Tanjong Pagar Food Centre.

The classic Malay dish comprises boiled yellow noodles drenched in a thick and spicy potato-based gravy, and packed with spring onions, bean sprouts, fried shallots, fried beancurd, a hard-boiled egg, and a dash of lime juice.

This stall also sells two other classic Malay dishes — mee siam and lontong — which, as the sign says, are also honestly delicious!

Mee Rebus is one the must-try dishes in Singapore.

The bowl at Tanjong Pagar Food Centre is piled generously with ingredients!

Come early as the stall is very popular amongst locals — often selling out by 2PM.
