Located in a tiny hideout in Le Marais, this has been my go-to Moroccan restaurant for the last ten years. The stonewalls and stylish yet inviting decoration make for an extremely cosy atmosphere. Plus, the waiters are all exceptionally friendly — by Parisian standards.
With friends, we usually share a pigeon pastilla – a delicious Moroccan sweet pie made of a mix of almond powder and squab pigeon meat – as a starter, then go for a tajine – the pear and kefta ones are to die for – or some couscous.
To end on a sweet note, I’d recommend going for some mint tea and delicious Moroccan spiced pastries. Despite the food being on the rich or even heavy side, the playlist at Le 404 will definitely set the mood for some partying. Boasting the coolest North African hits, the team knows how to get you in the right mood.
