This is our go-to spot when we want to escape the busy city life without ever leaving the city.
Grótta is a nature reserve that is really popular with the locals. It’s surrounded by black sands and a rugged coastline, with an amazing view of the churning ocean and mountains across the water.
There are multiple walking and biking paths, and close by there is a small geothermally heated pool, perfect to soak your feet in after a long day while you take in the view. It’s also a great place to see the northern lights in winter without having to go outside the city.
