Warung Liku is off the beaten path and tucked away on the access roads to Denpasar, but locals will tell you it’s worth the effort. One of my favourite dishes there is nasi ayam betutu – rice with chicken stuffed with spices, beansprouts, veggies, peanuts, and spicy sambal.
Being a local warung, smoking is allowed everywhere, so it’s best to avoid peak hour, but food runs out in the later part of the day, so you can consider having an early lunch. Do note that it’s not a place for everyone though – it’s simple food in a simple setting. Good for backpackers on a budget or for those who want to enjoy local cuisine at its best.
Take your pick from nasi ayam betutu (chicken stuffed with spices) or babi kecap (pork in sweet soy sauce).
A simple, yet flavourful dish that packs a punch!
It’s a great place to lunch with friends, but do consider coming early as the food usually runs out soon after lunch.
