Ranca Upas is a lovely nature reserve with vast areas for deers to roam freely. You are allowed to feed the deers with food provided by the staff, and may even get the chance to pet them. You can also play with the deers and take photos with them.
The deer sanctuary is open from 6am to 5pm, so do visit earlier in the afternoon if you want enough time to interact with them up close. Some of the deers can get very excited when you feed them carrots, or if you smell like carrots, so be careful to keep a distance! For those who are afraid, you may ask to be guided by a staff on duty.
Visitors are not allowed to bring food from outside to feed the deers. You'll have to buy deer food directly from the sanctuary.
If you want something different for your wedding photoshoot, Ranca Upas is available for booking!
Tip: Bring a thick jacket or dress warm as temperatures can plunge to as low as 20 degrees Celsius.
