Mix it up with the best of both worlds at Iwanai Kogen Hotel

Nestled in the heart of the Iwanai mountains, Kogen Hotel is one of the most popular hotels in Hokkaido. It has a good mix of modern hotel facilities with small ryokan-style hospitality. For the art buffs, they have a large private collection of Picasso works.

The kaiseki-style menu served at the restaurant here is seasonally inspired. Kaiseki is often seasonal so you never know what you’re going to get. This rice cake uses shinmai or new rice combined with local white fish.
