At the top of Tibidabo mountain, you will find the amazing church – Templo Expiatorio del Sagrado Corazón – which reminds me of a fairy tale ice castle. You will also find the old Tibidabo Amusement Park, which has become a classic cultural part of the city. Apart from enjoying the views of Barcelona, you can revisit your childhood by riding the crash cars, entering the horror tunnel, or visiting many of the other attractions while eating cotton candy.

You can usually get to the Tibidabo from La Rotonda on ‘El Tramvia Blau’ (the old blue tram), an historical icon of the city. Unfortunately, it is currently under maintenance but you will be able to reach the Funicular on the replacement bus, No. 196.

On your way up Tibidabo Avenue, you can stop by Cosmo Caixa (the Science Museum), where you can see a picturesque ‘flooded forest’ and interactive exhibitions about cosmos and science. You can also take a break after the long walk at El Asador de Aranda, a popular traditional rotisserie restaurant.

Another option is to stop at the base of the cable car for some drinks or tapas at Mirablau while enjoying the city skyline. And if you feel like you’re not ready to end the day yet, you can head to their dance floor to groove the night away with your favourite cocktail in hand.

Templo Expiatorio del Sagrado Corazón (or Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) at the entrance of the amusement park.

Hop on board the colourful Ferris wheel for a view of Barcelona from the top!

Most of the attractions have a vintage touch like the carousel, which I find so cute. Along the park there are many fast food trucks where you can get churros, hot dogs, cotton candy, etc

From the La Rotonda building at Avenida Tibidabo, you could originally take the blue tram. But that has been temporarily removed for maintenance and replaced by the bus.
