Poble Espanyol gathers some of the most iconic spots of Spain together in one place. Here, you can find reproductions of historical buildings, squares and streets representing different regions of Spain.

Wandering around its picturesque streets helps me disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can feel the art in the air as you walk along the streets that are filled with artisan shops, restaurant terraces, and art galleries. There’s also the Fran Daurel Museum, where you can admire contemporary artworks by Picasso, Dalí, and Miró, among other artists of the 20th century.

And if you want to enjoy an authentic traditional Spanish flamenco show, you cannot miss Tablao de Carmen (http://www.tablaodecarmen.com/en/)!

Poble Espanyol also has a huge blooming garden, where you will be mesmerised by the beauty of fine sculptures, cherry trees and bridges.

Poble Espanyol is located in one of the greenest areas of Barcelona.

Here, you can see Barrio Andaluz (Andalusian Village) and the Fran Daurel Museum entrance on the right – which doesn’t have an entrance fee!

I love walking around the little white streets with colourful details. Arcos del Patio Andaluz represents the typical beautiful Andalusian Patios in Cordob

Sculpture Garden is a great place to relax. Here, you can forget all your troubles and just contemplate the beauty of nature, accompanied by the sound of birds.

Travesía del Maestrazgo is one fine example of the streets in Valencia.

Let the flamenco show at Tablao de Carmen seduce you with all the passion and power of this traditional Spanish dance. Compared with other flamenco show sin the city, I find Tablao de Carmen to be the most genuine.

For me, the perfect plan after visiting Poble Espanyol is always going to dinner at a nearby restaurant – Xalet de Montjuic – where you can enjoy the best traditional Catalan cuisine and spectacular views of the city.
