When The Antipodean opened last Spring, I thought it would just be another café that you only go for the ’gram or the colourful kangaroo art mural right outside the cafe, but boy was I wrong! The Antipodean, an Australian-inspired third wave coffee shop, is now my favourite spot to have a big, nice, satisfying brunch in Taipei.

Nothing beats a full plate of deliciously cooked scrambled eggs, hash browns, grilled tomato, beans, mushrooms and fresh avocado. Their menu features an array of not only drool-worthy but also aesthetically pleasing brunch items such, as avocado baked eggs and acai bowl.

TA is happily situated near the Gangqian MRT station, tucked in a small alley, with a beautiful outdoor patio in front. Stop by on a sunny day, this place will not disappoint!

Queen’s Breakfast plate! Know that there are only 5 plates of the Queen’s Breakfast available every day, first come first served!

Acai bowl is another popular item at TA. It’s beautifully presented and almost too pretty to eat.

Brunching and drinking coffee on a nice, spacious patio when the sun is out is what your ideal Sunday should look like.

The avocado big breakfast is my must-order every time I visit TA. It’s not only filling, but beautiful to look at as you slowly pick the elements off the plate!
