One of the most popular banh mi places is Banh Mi Huynh Hoa. It seems to have a cult following and some bloggers even call it the best in Saigon!

You know you’ve arrived at the right place when you see many motorbikes parked outside and a long line of people waiting to be fed. The wait can get a little long, but trust me, it’ll be worth it.

The Banh Mi Huynh Hoa storefront.

They bake the baguettes right in their store, so it’s really fresh and the crust is especially crunchy!

Waiting for my turn. It was nearly 4pm, and there were so many people. I think the best time to buy is from 3pm – 3.30pm, as they would have just opened then.

I’m in love with those meats. To be honest, I can eat banh mi every day when I go to work. Those meats are all sliced up and ready to be stuffed into the baguettes.

So meaty and tasty. From my experience, it’s a little bit more expensive than the others, but the amount of meat they put in makes it worth it. A note of caution: Don’t get the chilli if you can’t take the heat!

This is just half the banh mi. From this perspective, I can see the fresh vegetables inside and well-cooked baguette. It is well worth queueing up for.
