Who knew you could get a slice of Bali in Ipoh, Perak? Introducing the Ipoh Bali Hotel, a complete oasis that takes up the space of a converted bungalow in a wonderfully quiet neighbourhood.

The entire place is designed with nature in mind to stay true to the Balinese theme. This is translated through the meticulously landscaped garden, water features, a wooden terrace, bamboo furnishings, and various intricate carvings adorning every wall. Take a step inside and be transported into an Indonesian paradise within the walls of this beautiful hotel.

My Superior Double Room with Garden View had the most comfortable king-size bed and beautifully decorated interiors. On top of these, I love that my room is equipped with both an air conditioner and a ceiling fan, giving me the option to alternate between both based on the temperature.

There is also a small fish pond right outside the room where I could feed the fish with the pellets provided by the hotel.

My stay at the Ipoh Bali Hotel includes a delicious pre-booked breakfast that guests can choose to either have in the café or in their rooms. But if you're still hungry, fret not, there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby to satisfy your cravings.

The hotel also has an on-site spa that offers an extensive menu for face and body—I recommend indulging in one (or two!) treatments to level up your staycation to complete bliss.

Pro tip: The hotel is popular amongst travellers and has a limited number of rooms to ensure privacy. So it’s best to book your reservations early.
