Fun fact: did you know that Perak has been the main producer of pomelo in Malaysia for decades? In the Tambun area, near Ipoh town, you can see pomelo farms for miles in every direction. But only one in particular allows visitors to enter and take a stroll among the trees for free.

GoChin Pomelo Agro Farm has been around for over 20 years, passed down from one generation to another, making it a meaningful family business worth supporting. The pomelos from this area are especially sweet, perhaps due to the rich limestone soil and the underground water used to water the trees.

Interestingly, the sweetness of their fruit is so exceptional that even Chef Wan, Malaysia’s top celebrity chef, uses this particular variety in his exclusive Business Class menu for Qatar Airways.

The staff here are also friendly, so if you have any questions regarding the farm, don’t be shy to ask away!

On your way out, don't forget to stop by the store to pick up their freshly picked pomelos and pomelo-based essential oils.
