I love reading! So this is a place I frequent and want to share. Book Street is as its name suggests: a street full of books – well, bookstores!
A vintage book store by the name of Mao bookstore is located on the second floor on 5 Dinh Le Street and is a must-visit when here. They have many kinds of books – in Vietnamese, English and other languages.
My kind of weekend is coming here to browse for hours on end and leaving with a timeless classic. If you’re a bookworm like me, then this is your paradise!
Dinh Le Street in the early morning. You can find many kinds of bookshops along this street, selling everything from comics to classic works by famous authors, to fresh works from rising young writers. Your journey of discovery is only limited by the time you can set aside!
Walking into a store is just like a childhood dream to me (I have dreamt of being a book shop owner or working in a library). The smell of books never fails to bring me back to those days.
Never-ending shelves of books that overflow around the limited space! The wealth of knowledge in a single place is humbling. Whether you know what you’re looking for, or are just browsing - you’d need plenty to check out each store.
