The year of the Ox is fast approaching, and with it, the Lunar New Year long weekend this year. This year is predicted to be a good year to focus on relationships, so whether you have more annual leave to clear or just want to spend quality time with friends and family, we have the best attractions, tours and experiences for every sign of the Chinese zodiac.

Make sure to book your SingapoRediscovers activities on Klook (we’ve marked these with a *) with your UOB Card to up to S$40 in extra savings, as well as cashback, accelerated miles and more!

Undeniably hard workers, the Oxen of the Zodiac are practical, resolute and persistent. Great traits to have, but it also means they often forget to take a break. This year might be challenging for the Ox, with unlucky stars challenging their mental state, so the Lunar New Year long weekend is the perfect time to indulge in some self-care with a staycation at the spacious Grand Hyatt Singapore* (S$200++). And why not enhance the experience with breakfast at StraitsKitchen, lunch at Mezza9, and S$50 in spa credit per room? Alternatively, go on a three-hour long Southern Islands Yacht Tour* (S$128) with some water-loving pals and explore the Lazarus Islands with a knowledgeable guide.

The year’s predictions say the Tiger is in for a period of development and evolution, very much in line with their desire to do new things. And boy, do we have some active, hands-on experiences for one of the most feisty animals of the Zodiac. Head to Ola Beach Club in Sentosa to enjoy the waves and their myriad water sports* (S$22.50++) such as kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, banana boating, and water donutting. For the Tiger that needs to relieve some stress, The Fragment Room is offering a S$80 package for two, where you can shatter things to your heart’s content.

The coming year might be challenging for the Rabbit, so it’s essential that they take time for themselves, particularly with lower-tempo activities that cater to their sensitive nature and love of culture. An ideal day for a Rabbit might mean a cosy day in nature, where a picnic rental set (S$145++) will fit perfectly. This set-up for a group of five includes a comfortable layout and a beautiful feature wall, as well as disposable cutlery and a water dispenser.
