The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best-known Ubud trek, and for good reason. The sparse crowd and the aesthetically rich vistas remind you why people from around the world make the journey to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud – the confluence (or campuhan) of the Wos River.

The trek, which should take about two hours, is best enjoyed in the early morning or late afternoon, when the sun is not at its highest and hottest. Do remember to bring along some water to keep yourself hydrated. You’ll see traditional houses like these along the way.

Locals walk this route daily – so don’t be surprised if you bump into some along the way.

Expect to encounter beautiful temples along the way too.
