Live in the lap of luxury at Muntri Grove Hotel

If your idea of a perfect vacation is like mine – to lounge, laze and do laps in the pool, then Muntri Grove is the place for you. The rooms are spacious and the beds, oh-so-comfortable. This urban resort tops my list as the place to rest, recharge and renew in George Town.

The hotel also has an interesting history, and I am glad the present owner is preserving as much of the story possible. The premises used to house workers serving wealthy families in the vicinity, before it was acquired and refurbished to become the hotel it is today, a part of the George Town Heritage + Hotels group.

 

Every detail is carefully placed according to the theme of the hotel. You can find many pieces of art all around the hotel, just like this one in the lobby.

 

The rooms are spacious and airy. Step in and you’ll never want to leave.

 

Even the bedding is carefully curated to reflect the heritage of the area.

 

It’s more like a lounge pool than a lap pool to be honest, but sizeable enough for a quick dip when you need it. And in this heat, the water is always inviting.
