The name Chi – which translates loosely as “life energy” – gives some idea of what to expect from one of the Hanoi’s newest accommodation option.
A blend of old-fashioned and contemporary styles create a traditional Chinese feel in this modern boutique hotel: dark wood furniture, modern lantern, artworks of lotus leaves and a dim sum restaurant.
The hotel offers remarkable value right in the heart of the Old Quarter.
The classy yet quirky lobby of The Chi hotel. You’re right by the iconic church and just five minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake.

Rooms here are minimal and uncluttered. This is my preferred style – with nothing to distract from the function of the room. Premium materials are used from the bed frame to the bathroom counter, a sure sign that the hotel is uncompromising in its quality.
