Be at peace with war at the Manila American Cemetery

Who would have thought that you can find blue skies, green land and tranquil silence in the heart of the city? This is the place to be.

Take on an unusual adventure by visiting this cemetery in the middle of Taguig. I really like visiting this part of the city to experience a different side of the city and enjoy the peace and tranquillity this place has to offer.

The cemetery is open to public every day and easily accessible by cab. I highly recommend that you read the information on the maps or inscriptions to have a better understanding of what happened during the World War II. If you want a guided tour of the cemetery, you may enquire at the visitor’s centre near the entrance.

Listed here are the names of the brave soldiers who perished during the infamous War.

 

The marble crosses are from the Marble Capital of the Philippines – Romblon. The graves are symmetrically aligned, just like the soldiers in formation.
