Forget Hongdae! Yeonnam-dong, the neighbouring area of Hongdae is quickly emerging as the latest hot place in Seoul to hang out.

Easily accessible on foot from Hongdae station exit 3, Yeonnam-dong’s narrow alleyways house all kinds of shops, from one-of-a kind unique boutiques and small bars and endless cafés and restaurants – all very nicely branded and Instagrammable!

There is also Dongjin Market, a traditional market space that gets converted into a market for crafts and handmade items during the weekend. Do pay the place a visit before it turns too commercialised!

An independent book store selling mostly self-published literature.
