If you are afraid that there’s nothing to do at night in KL, your fears are definitely unfounded as there are plenty of hidden speakeasy bars with unique interiors and concepts.

We have the ones with Oriental-influenced ones like Suzie Wong, Shuang Xi, and PS150 at Petaling Street, and the ones with a touch of local influence that serve up ‘local cocktails’ like Coley Bar and Shelly Yu. We even have bars that specialise in specific spirits, like Pahit in Pudu, where gin-based cocktails are the highlight of the menu.

PS150 is one of the hidden speakeasy cocktail bar located at Petaling Street.

Shuang Xi means double happiness in Mandarin, which is a common term used in Chinese weddings. Hence, the concept of this hidden bar is ‘love and marriage’, and the drinks are love-themed as well.

For example, the cocktail called ‘Lip Stain’ represents the bride’s lipstick stain, while ‘1st of May’ represents a significant date that was once mentioned in an old romantic Chinese movie. This place only caters to a limited number of customers every night, so make a reservation on Facebook first!

Berlin is another speakeasy bar located at Petaling Street. Its name came from its Berlin-born founder Natalie Kniese. The place is decked out with graffiti galore, and they serve up cocktails with Berlin-inspired names such as Brandenburg, JFK (John F. Kennedy) etc.
