The most common activity for tourists when visiting Barcelona is to eat paella. But what about learning to make it? The Paella Club makes it possible.
I had a great time joining one of their classes and found the process really easy and fun. They give you all the ingredients needed for the preparation and explain how to do it yourself step by step. At the end, when the paella is ready, you get to enjoy your dish while seated at a long table together with all the attendees, in a friendly and cosy atmosphere.
The interior design is really charming and its stone walls remind me of an old wine cellar with a trendy touch.
Ready to start the class with The Paella Club apron!
The cooking area with individual spaces for each student is equipped with all the tools and ingredients needed to make a perfect paella.
Beyond this entrance, which reminds me of a stone cellar, is where you can buy a fine selection of artisanal Catalan wines.
With all the ingredients laid out nicely, it’s time to start cooking under the guidance of the chef.
The final result: paella with prawns and calamari rings, flavoured with a juicy tomato and seafood sauce.
This is where we enjoyed our paella once we finished making it!
